It has been a busy few months since pre-sale ended! We have all been hard at work on Nestables. Here is the very first development update!

Founder’s Tokens and Cube Minting

It took us a while, due to high gas fees and other technical issues, but we are very pleased to say that all of the Founder’s Tokens and Pre-Sale Cubes have been minted and distributed.

This has been a mammoth effort and I am pleased to say that I think the outcome for the Cubes looks amazing in the Enjin Wallet. We took on a lot of community feedback for how they would visually appear and the information you guys wanted us to display.

If you have not received your Cubes or Founder’s Tokens yet then please ask for assistance in the Telegram.

We are now moving onto creating and minting the wearables and then distributing prizes. It is very important that you have opened all of the crates under your profile on the website!

Biome System

One of the first aspects of the game that we have been getting to work on is the biome system. Biomes are different environmental areas of the game. Users will be able to task their Cube with researching areas of the Nest to unlock, allowing for the expansion of the Nest and discovery of new resources and other items.

Early implementation of different biomes into the game.

We were very pleased to be able to implement some of the feedback and suggestions from the community in terms of what type of biomes you wanted to see implemented. Biomes included in the beta are:

  • Desert
  • Beach
  • Tropical Beach
  • Hot Springs
  • Giant Mushroom
  • Arctic
  • Sea Biome
  • Maple Biome
  • Birch Biome

Farming and Crop Types

Farming different types of food was always going to be a main aspect of gameplay. As a result, it was one of the aspects that I wanted to focus on first.

Testing the implementation of new crops and tilled dirt base block.

The intention is to allow for the player to be able to grow a variety of crops and trees that will produce ingredients for food. These ingredients can then be combined to make different dishes which the Cubes can consume themselves or can be sold to the Nest store to generate income. Crop types vary in the amount of time they take to grow.

Different crop types

Nestables was never meant to be based on real life! So while the game will include many of your typical food types like carrots and watermelon, we also wanted to go a bit further. Crops such as the Mooju will add a unique twist into the gameplay and we can’t wait to show you more.

Stay tuned for more news around Halloween!

We are excited to keep you as a community informed of our development progress. You can stay tuned with our progress via our Telegram & Twitter.
